TYPES OF CONTRACT DOCUMENT
Hello Samwel
In regard to types of contract document you must be aware that in most cases category of procurement determine type of contract document. Major categorizes of procurement which includes Goods, Works, Non-Consultancy services, Consultancy services and Disposal of Assets by tender. Serious note, under one category of procurement there may be various types of contract document for instance PPRA has prepared and issued tendering document for procurement of Goods for General Goods, Healthy and Pharmaceutical equipment, pesticide, Supply and installation of plants and equipment etc. Here you will note that under goods category PPRA has more than one contract document used.
Furthermore, Under consultancy services types of contract are stipulated under Regulation 313- Lumpsum (fixed price) contract, reg.314 - Time based contract, Reg 315 -Retainer and/or success fee contract, Reg.316 -Percentage contract, Reg. 317- Indefinite delivery contract (price agreement) 318 and Running contracts. However, PPRA has current has issued only RFP for Time based (i.e Simple Time based and Complex Time based RFP) and Lumpsum.
Conclusion, your question was general for some one to address the matter but be aware that type of contract document will be determined by nature and type/category of procurement.
