WHO IS PROCUREMENT MANAGER?

A procurement manager is person who is professionally qualified with experience, competency and knowledge about procurement matters and s/he is incharge of the over all procurement activities of the organisation/procuring entity

The Procurement manager has many responsibilities including the following:
1. Eestablishing procurement guidelines, manual and policies to protect the company from legal challenges, while obtaining the best possible combination of price, quality, and service. Also ensuring that all the departments and staff that are purchasing materials and services on behalf of the firm are following those guidelines and policies.
2. Developing procurement plans in order to avoid misuse of organisation or government funds and avoid maverick buying
3. Coordinating procurement activities across the organization depending on the structure and role of the procurement department.
